It was a great week in the garden this week! Even though it was snowy, and Phyte Club didn’t meet, Linworth students still made this garden week count. We practiced winter sowing—a technique for successfully germinating native seeds and then we took our knowledge to the Worthington Farmers Market on Saturday where we helped members of the community start more than 2 dozen gardens. In addition, several students helped the Worthington Green Team collect a 26 foot truck full of Styrofoam for recycling. Next week we will make spring plans, learn some new systems to upgrade our management, finish bending conduit and maybe more. Leadership transitions will happen at this meeting for any positions that seniors held. Phyte Club meets from 3:15- 4:15 every Monday. We gather in the Big Room and everyone is welcome. Join Us!
