It was a great week in the garden this week! So much is happening! Our greenhouse is up and running, though there are still a few finishing touches to go. The fruit garden is well under construction and will be usable for this year. Cool season crops are planted, warm season crops are started, and we are working frantically on getting ready for the native plant sale. Zoe painted the rain barrels, so Jeff can move forward with irrigation set-up. Peg is working with a group that is focusing its attention on improving recycling efforts in the city. Dayna is taking charge of the worm composting. There will be no Phyte Club on April 8 because of the eclipse (don’t miss it!) but we will meet on April 15. We will take up the cold frame and prep the herb bed as well as get the native pollinator bed ready for planting the following week. Phyte Club meets on Mondays after school until 4:30. Everyone is welcome! Come and Join Us!
